#Laravel Discord Tutorial Notification System

This Laravel application includes a Discord notification system for tutorial announcements using Discord webhooks.

#Discord Notification Setup

#1. Create Discord Webhook

  1. Go to your Discord server settings
  2. Navigate to Integrations → Webhooks
  3. Click "New Webhook"
  4. Copy the webhook URL

#2. Environment Configuration

Add these variables to your .env file:

DISCORD_TUTORIAL_WEBHOOK=https://discord.com/api/webhooks/your-webhook-id/your-webhook-token
DISCORD_BOT_NAME="Tutorial Platform"
DISCORD_BOT_AVATAR=https://yoursite.com/logo.png

#Web Interface

Visit /tutorial-notification to access the tutorial notification form where you can:

  • Enter tutorial title
  • Add description (max 1000 chars, truncated to 200 in Discord)
  • Specify tutorial URL
  • Select category (affects embed color)

#Command Line Testing

Test notifications using the artisan command:

# Test basic notification
php artisan discord:test-tutorial

# Test retry mechanism
php artisan discord:test-tutorial --type=retry
